The Hispano Aviación HA-200 “Saeta” and its variant HA-220 “Super Saeta” are historic Spanish aircraft designed in the 1950s for ground attack and training purposes. The HA-200, designed by Juan de la Cruz Martin-Albo, Rafael Rubio Elola, and Willy Messerschmitt, was the first Spanish jet and the first with a pressurized cabin. It was powered by two French Turbomeca Marboré II turbojets and made its maiden flight on 12 August 1955, piloted by Fernando de Juan Valiente from San Pablo aerodrome in Seville.
The HA-220 “Super Saeta” is a single-seat, ground attack version of the HA-200, distinguished by its more powerful Turbomeca Marboré VI engines and additional armament capabilities, including rocket containers and underwing mounts. This aircraft also replaced the second seat with a self-sealing fuel tank to enhance its operational range. Now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator at SIMMARKET, the HA-200/HA-220 features SIMMARKET’s simInstaller technology for seamless installation via the store app.
