This is a must get. Their representation of the white house, complete with the current administration, made me realize how FS in itself is also a cultural and historical artifact. Not only it has been recording architectural (airports, sceneries), technological (procedures, aircrafts) and political (sceneries, liveries) changes through the past 30 years but now it can also represent politicians themselves in this rather odd moment in history.
The problem is that as time moves on, the oldest representations fade out of our colective memory as operative systems evolve and computers and outdated hardware are replaced and the ability to use older FS versions is lost in time…
Note to self: get the dust off that old Win98 pc and see if I can still install FS95, FS98 and FS2000 in it…
