My opinion on this, whats yours?
There’s already some of the best sceneries out there representing Frankfurt and Barajas (thinking of course of the Mega Airport series). Does it make sense to invest more time and effort on recreating them again, and money on re-buying them, even if they are a little better, when it all could be spent on creating airports that are still lacking a good representation? Say… Beijing. Auckland. Toronto Pearson. Antananarivo. Dili. An african destination like Luanda, Maputo, Cape City. An US airport never done.
Alex i agree with you 100 % i would also put Casablanca or Marrakesh
This seems to be a question that pops up regularly. I can think of at least two reasons why 3PD don’t invest time and effort in representing other airports:
1) not enough information
2) they fear those airports might not sell well enough
Maybe other can think of other reasons.
Are you serious about Frankfurt? Aerosoft aka German Airports may be doing this airport, but it’llas usual be a FS98 scenery ported for FSX. And do you know what that means?
No FSX native technology
No FSX specific extras
No aerobridges animated by default and, thus, the force to get the crappie AES
A huge drop in frames, due to the elder technology used. With this, one can forget on ever using the PMDG 777 for a flight as OOM will take place and disrupt fun.
No, in my opinion FSDT should get their foot into the door and produce airports available from Aerosoft using the latest and frame friendliest technology to throw them off their monopoly, which they are having!!!
