In case the video doesn’t give it away slightly, today’s simMarket releases are led up by another Blu-Ray disc from Just Planes, this time following the Airbus quad jets of Spain’s Flag Carrier, Iberia flying to and from Mexico City. The coverage includes both the A340-300 and stretched A340-600, giving you an idea of the difference in operating the two variants. Full details can be found here.
For pilots who prefer their aircraft from the era of World War II, SimBattleBirds have released their Hawker Hurricane IIB/C in the North African desert livery of the aircraft named “Sir Iain”. With a panel made up of historically accurate gauges mixed with some newer ones, this won’t be for the purist, but may be of interest to those wishing to add an aircraft that seems to be overlooked in favour of its siblings to their hangar.
Spectre have released their scenery for Haiti’s Port au Prince International airport for FSX, joining the version already released for FS9. Still recovering from the country’s recent disaster, the Haitian capital’s airport includes a UN operations area amongst the other features including full custom structures, objects and even custom vegetation, all laid over a photoreal background.
Finally, we have the latest issue of FS Pilot Magazine. This PDF-format publication includes 13 reviews, including some of scenery and aircraft packages only very recently released, along with no fewer than 10 competitions, to win some of those products. Volume 1, Issue 5, can be found here.
