Doncaster Robin Hood Airport isn’t in the area traditionally related to the historical hero, being formerly known as RAF Finningley, in South Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
Serving the cities of Doncaster and Sheffield, it is primarily a low-cost airline hub used by Ryanair and Wizz Air, but is also the start of many peoples’ holidays on charter aircraft flying South towards the sun of Europe and beyond. It’s also the latest in the “Xtreme” series of airport for FS9 & X by UK2000 Scenery.
These days the airport is not only home to airliners, but also to XH558 – the world’s sole remaining airworthy Vulcan bomber and that is, naturally, included with the UK2000 rendition of the scenery, which also displays custom buildings both showing the airports military heritage and commercial future. More screenshots, details and purchase information can be found here. There’s also a demo version so yo can try before you buy.
