In their latest newsletter, Rise of Flight developers 777Studios have announced version 1.028 of their WW1 combat simulator, which among other things brings a whole new element into play – water.
Along with the Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 pictured left, any other aircraft in the sim now has a whole new way of interfacing with water, whether it be intentional, such as a forced ditching, or accidental such as clipping a wingtip or wheel during low flight. Unfortunately the W.12 is not yet available in a RoF Career and will not be until the Channel map is released, which they say will be “soon”.
Full details of what is included in version 1.028 can be found by visiting the sim’s forum.
