I posted a comment yesterday that X-Plane add-ons were coming along in leaps and bounds now that more developers were getting involved and it seems that someone, don’t ask me who, decided to prove that I had at least a bit of a point. Of four new releases at simMarket today, three of them are for Laminar Research’s simulator.
The video above shows the first of these – Carenado’s C208 Caravan. Although developed for XP9, the aircraft also works in XP10 and the developers promise a patch to incorporate the newer version’s features “in the future”. At present, the package still comes with an interactive VC, new plug-in controlled 3d sounds and new lighting effects, among a long list of other features – the full list can be seen here.
Secondly, fans of Taburet‘s photoreal sceneries will be pleased to know that he has now added Paris to the ever elongating selection. As usual, autogen and water bodies have been added. Again more details can be found here.
