JFK comes to FS9 and FSX from Blueprint

Another location for your virtual airliner operations has just been released in the form of New York’s famous JFK for individual versions for both MS FS9 and FSX.

With announced features such as custom-made, optimized and fully three-dimensional Gmax models of the entire facility, accurate runway and taxiway layout, including detailed markings and signs plus the ability to alter the level of complexity depending on how well your PC can handle operating in the area, JFK is now back firmly on the MSFS flight plan list.

For full details see the appropriate pages for FS2004, here, and FSX, here.

  2. Well its a good thing that we’ve become used to great looking airport sceneries these days. Fs5.1 sceneries were much worse, if I remember correctly. The screens reminded me of FS2000 quality (remember Wilco’s Airport 2000 collection?)but with much more detail. A good ground scenery photo goes a long way and the screenshots’ quality could be better too – lots of “jagged” lines that should be straight. This effect usually isn’t this obvious in other screenshots.

The 3D buildings look reasonably detailed though. This scenery may appeal to those that don’t fly to JFK that often and have a lower budget but still want more than the default scenery.

I recognized the old Pan Am terminal building featuring in the Pan Am series in the screeshots. 🙂

  3. Also, TropicalSim began with rather simplistic sceneries and their quality improved greatly with time and experience. So never underestimate a scenery designer ;).

  4. Hi Alex,

Maybe you are right, we will see in the future 😉
But for now, i will not buy anything.

    Greetings
