This might as well be FSX – see no differences and I do not understand why they bothered. what are we to believe? the flight model is superior? the scenery more dynamic? The sea looks better? no idea….
I don’t think these teasers are intended to wow those who are used to looking at an add-on laden FSX. They strike me as a sort of “we’re here and we’re working on it” sort of concept, with occasional flashes of what will be possible. One thing I noticed was that the AGN vegetation seemed much denser than FSX, and with the kicker that it seems to throw proper shadows on the aircraft. The shadowing is actually better shown in the earlier “lift” video.
I have to agree with Bill here, although I hope that they’ve actually kicked some of that processing onto the video card this time, rather than trying to do it all on the CPU.
I do wonder, given that amount of AGN, however, what PC will REALLY be needed to run this with sliders off the bottom. Not that I don’t trust Microsoft at all, you know?
