A group named OryxSim has sent word that they intend to release a scenery of Salalah International  Airport for FS2004 and FSX. The release is aimed for April 14th with the FSX version coming end of the month. Where is Salalah i hear you saying? Oryxsim explains: “… Salalah is a quite exceptional and wonderful place in southern Oman, a very peaceful country bordering Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates (That’s where Dubai is). Salalah is located in the south of Oman and receives quite a bit of tourism in the summer due to the fact it has a raining season; something very uncommon in this part of the Arabian world.Salalah has some nice resorts and is mainly served by local airlines such as Oman Air. Other regular users of the airport are Air India, Gulf Air, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Jazeera Airways. During the winter the airport sees charters arriving from as far as Northern Europe. In 2009, Salalah Airport handled 500,000 passengers. A new terminal is under way to accommodate up to 5 million passengers in the future.” Read all about it and see images on their site.
