Salty Simulations, known for their work on enhancing the default Boeing 747-8i in Microsoft Flight Simulator, is introducing a significant update: the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). This new addition will bring vital features like METAR weather display, brightness controls, and a dark mode option. The EFB will support Simbrief integration, allowing for easier flight planning, and the display of navigational charts directly within the cockpit. It is also expected to enhance the realism and usability of the 747-8i, making it more aligned with the functionality of real-world systems.
In addition to flight planning and weather, the EFB will offer the ability to load local PDF files and images, further improving the pilot’s access to key documents and information during flights. These features will greatly expand the aircraft’s versatility in various scenarios, providing both casual simmers and more serious pilots with additional layers of immersion and control. The Salty Simulations team continues to focus on enhancing the 747-8i experience for the MSFS community with ongoing updates.
