DC Designs – Concorde and F-14 Tomcat MSFS Updates In the Works

DC Designs has revealed that they are working on updates for the Concorde and F-14 Tomcat for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Concorde update will focus on visual improvements, while the F-14s will receive a major navigation update, allowing pilots to access all nav controls, such as TACAN, VOR/DME, and NDBs, from the pilot’s seat rather than just the RIO seat. Additionally, work is being done on weathering effects and new liveries, with plans to roll out the updates within the next couple of weeks.

The announcement also highlights excitement surrounding Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS2024), for which DC Designs has had early access as a development partner. They expressed enthusiasm for new features like walk-around checks and the possibility of integrating the “Demo” and “Rental” versions of their aircraft. Although more information is needed, DC Designs sees the rental system as a potential “try-before-you-buy” option for simmers, aligning with the innovative advancements being made in MSFS2024.
