There are some minor update for BeyondATC. As they call it a Experimental. It’s an experimental build, with experimental features. It may have bugs that were not in the last experimental build. Scrolling to the update’s, the team is working hard to get it better and better.
Minor Update 1.6.43.Experimental
- Vectors – updates and change to the new vector handling that should help with zig zag vectoring and generally improve vectors.
- Radios – fix issue where if an ATC station has the same frequency as another station you might be tuned to the wrong one.
- Traffic – gate sizing for traffic has been reworked and some bugs addressed – hopefully this should lead to gates being more readily selected over ramps for suitable aircraft and better sizing selection.
- TCAS – specifically for A350 – ensure the callsign is sent to the sim for traffic aircraft, which then should display on the A350 TCAS rather than just registration (appears to not be working – will need further work!)
- Model matching – for those on MSFS2024 an option has been added to use the built in GA traffic models that are supplied with MSFS 2024. These cover a broad range of GA aircraft (around 150 in total) – this improves model matching for GA flights but please note all models are currently white liveries as there are no paints provided by Asobo. This option is enabled by default. Note some of these models seems to have the screeching sound FSLTL models initially had in 2024.
- Scroll wheel – reduce the speed of scrolling via the mouse scroll wheel for easier window handling!
- Fatal fix – fix a null exception in TaxiCallbacks that was the most common cause of recent fatals
- Airport Ops updates based on community feedback
Minor Update 1.6.44.Experimental
- Frequencies – fix a bug that prevented center frequencies being correctly assigned if already in use by traffic – leading to player seeing ‘Frequency doesn’t exist’
- Runway allocation – fix a typo that could lead to incorrect runway allocations from METARs in low crosswind scenarios
- Parking – continue to tweak and rework traffic parking logic based on user feedback
- Parking – introduce a new airport ops configuration to force parking at terminal rather than remote ramps at airports where FR24 transponder data is lost as they leave the runway. Initially this is set at LGAV and ZSPD for feedback. Note in these scenarios parking allocations are random and airline gate ops can’t be followed.
- TCAS – A350 from iniBuilds, TCAS now properly shows callsigns
- Voices – 2 new NZ voices
- Traffic – allocate Emirates cargo tail numbers correctly
- Performance – a tweak that may help with occasional stutters in traffic movement
- Unity crash on close – hopefully this is now fixed
- Fatal errors – fix some more null exception errors
- Airport Ops – updates and fixes
- Airline Callsigns – update airline callsigns to latest data from pilot portal
Minor Update 1.6.45.Experimental
- MSFS2024 SU2 Beta – fix no traffic models found error if you are using the SU2 Beta build of MSFS2024.
- Vectors – ensure final alt restriction on STAR is enforced in vector calculations
- Vectors – better altitude handling on vectors, as a side affect from this fix less warnings about terrain issues when loading a plan.
- Frequencies – prevent incorrect airport frequency being tuned when told to change center, frequencies should now be more accurate to station distance compared to player
- Departures – better handling of single waypoint flight plans preventing really early descend calls
- Descents – in ICAO regions given an intermediate descent altitude if there are no alt restrictions on arrival / approach rather than descend straight to IAF / FAF.
- Parking – no longer check users aircraft size against parking size to prevent gate not suitable messages
- Parking – continue to tweak and rework traffic parking logic based on user feedback with respect to traffic sizing and overlapping parking.
- Performance – further tweak that may help with occasional stutters in traffic movement
- Voices – new premium voices for French, Greek, Scottish and South African
- Airport Ops – new ops for runways and frequency changes based on user feedback.
Minor Update 1.6.46.Experimental
- Vectors – Continued tweaks to vector algorithm based on user feedback.
- Vectors – Fixed bug that caused circular vector instructions in rapid succession.
- Comms – Rewrote the comm state handler to prevent spinning wheel/stuck state bugs.
- Fix – Fixed bug where descent would be given too early if the user’s FP didn’t contain a route.
- Traffic – Fix issues with runway takeoff and landing distances not being properly observed.
- Traffic – Add a 300nm traffic insertion range when the player is above 19000 feet, this can help increase perceived traffic volume in higher cruise alts while keep traffic volumes more manageable around departure / destination airports.
- Traffic – Prevent center controllers acknowledging traffic that hasn’t called in when they are being initially injected.
- Runway selection – Fix issue where runways may not update to match METAR changes on certain routes, particularly short routes with direct SID -> STAR or departure vectors.
- Parking selection – Remove constraints on user parking selection (this was expected in the last build but the code was not actually applied!)
Minor Update 1.6.47.Expermintal
- Airport Ops Updates
- Airline callsign data Updates
And there was a poll for the community to vote on the next feature, and this was the one with the higher score:
- GSX Integration is automatically starting GSX with BATC’s gate allocation. Additionally we would investigate the potential to pass pushback path integration as well as synchronized taxi instructions.
