Brazilian scenery developer Paulo Ricardo has released two new sceneries for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS), compatible with both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. These are the developer’s first sceneries for MSFS2024.
RIO DE JANEIRO WORLD UP MSFS20/24: The “Cidade Maravilhosa” in Detail
This scenery is a tribute to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s “wonderful city.” Paulo Ricardo aims to bring Rio’s unique atmosphere and iconic landmarks to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Santos Dumont Airport (SBRJ/SDU): The Santos Dumont domestic airport, known for its central location and challenging approaches, has been recreated with great detail. Realistic airport buildings, precise textures, and dynamic elements like animated cable cars ensure an immersive experience.
- Landmarks and Cityscape: The scenery includes not only the airport but also numerous landmarks and characteristic elements of the cityscape. These include the famous Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar), the Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado, and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.
- Technical Details: The scenery utilizes HD PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures for realistic surfaces and lighting effects. Static aircraft and vehicles further enhance the scenery. A detailed 3D terminal interior provides an authentic atmosphere.
- Requirements: MSFS World Update 19 Brazil and SBRJ – SDU Version 1.0.3.

CONGONHAS – SBSP MSFS20/24: The Heart of Brazilian Aviation
Congonhas Airport (SBSP) in São Paulo is one of Brazil’s busiest airports and a major hub for domestic flights. Paulo Ricardo has faithfully recreated this airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Airport Grounds: The scenery encompasses the entire airport grounds with its two runways. The precise modeling of the buildings, aprons, and taxiways ensures a realistic representation of the airport.
- Instrument Landing Systems: Congonhas Airport is equipped with modern instrument landing systems (ALS and ILS), which have been correctly implemented in the scenery. This enables safe approaches even in poor weather conditions.
- Technical Details: The scenery is optimized to ensure good performance without compromising visual quality.
- Requirements: MSFS Brazil World Update

Both sceneries are available through simMarket and are delivered via simInstaller technology, accessible through the simMarket app.
