CLI4D Designs, renowned for its highly detailed sceneries of beautiful corners of the world, has released another impressive addition for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS24) with the new product Kinsarvik, Norway MSFS24. This scenery expands the virtual world with a realistic recreation of Kinsarvik, a picturesque region in Norway known for its spectacular landscapes.
The main focus of this scenery is the Vetlemoen Heliport, the base of Airlift AS in Kinsarvik, as well as nearby facilities of the state-owned energy company Statkraft. Kinsarvik is part of Hardanger, a region famous for its stunning fjords, mountains, the Folgefonna Glacier (Norway’s third-largest glacier), and the popular viewpoint Trolltunga.
The scenery includes:
- Vetlemoen Heliport (ENW1V): A base with a hangar and accommodations for the crew. The hangar can house 5 AS350/H125 helicopters, though it usually serves 2-3 aircraft.
- Detailed replication of Statkraft infrastructure in the surrounding mountains, which are part of a complex hydropower system.

About Airlift AS and the Vetlemoen Heliport
Airlift AS, founded in 1986, has operated the Vetlemoen Heliport since 1987. The base provides maintenance for AS350/H125 and A109E helicopters. The site is regularly used by rescue, police, and HEMS helicopters for refueling. The surrounding area falls under Norway’s G-class airspace and uses the radio frequency 123.500 MHz.
