The FSWeekend 2025 event brought together flight simulation enthusiasts, developers, and content creators for an exciting showcase of the latest innovations. Among the highlights was a presentation by OnAir Airline Manager, introducing recently released features designed to enhance the airline management experience.
OnAir Airline Manager: Latest Features
OnAir has introduced the concept of Favorite Airports to facilitate route network creation. Users can now manage a list of favorite airports and use it to generate routes more efficiently. These generated routes will be accessible just like any other in the game. The developers have also announced that this feature will soon extend to charter jobs and company custom routes.
The Freelance Charter Job system has been expanded to include various mission types such as cargo and passenger charters, rescue missions, medical flights, free flights, sightseeing tours, and return-to-base operations. Players looking for more strategic control can now engage in Airport Ownership, managing their airports to increase traffic flow and earn rewards. Enhancements allow users to select boosts, including logistics centers, XP gains, company routes, freelance opportunities, industry efficiency, and FBO workshops.
Another major addition is the Work Orders system for automating AI flights. Players can streamline operations by assigning multiple legs to AI pilots, with cargo and passenger loads automatically managed, reducing the need for manual intervention.
Expanding beyond aviation, OnAir now offers an industry-building component. Users can buy goods at one airport and sell them at another, or establish factories that require supplies and workers. This feature integrates with scenery elements, enabling players to source materials from in-sim locations such as fishing camps for fish processing factories.
OnAir continues to provide players with the freedom to choose their own adventure, whether managing major airline operations or exploring remote regions in bush planes.
