Heatblur Simulations Brings the F-4E Phantom II to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Heatblur Simulations has officially announced the development of the F-4E Phantom II for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing one of the most legendary Cold War-era jets to the civilian flight sim world. Known for its high-fidelity recreation in DCS, the F-4E was recently awarded Best DCS Addon at the 2025 Flight Sim Awards. This new version aims to provide an immersive and authentic flying experience, focusing on accurate flight dynamics, detailed systems, and highly realistic visuals using laser scanning and photogrammetry. Heatblur has also confirmed that a version of their JESTER AI will accompany pilots, enhancing the depth of the experience.

The F-4E Phantom II is a legendary American twin-engine, two-seat, supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the United States Navy, later adopted by the US Air Force and Marine Corps. It served over 12 nations worldwide and remains in limited use today, cementing its status as one of the most recognizable military aircraft of all time. In MSFS, Heatblur aims to capture the aircraft’s raw power and handling while integrating a next-generation simulation framework. Every aircraft component, from hydraulic systems to electrical circuits, will interact dynamically, offering a deeply immersive simulation experience.

Bringing many beloved features from DCS, the MSFS F-4E will include an interactive crew chief, quality-of-life enhancements, and an interactive manual. Heatblur emphasizes that the aircraft’s behavior is fully physics-based rather than scripted, ensuring authentic wear and tear, fluid dynamics, and detailed system interactions. As development progresses, more details will be revealed, with the team eager to deliver the most in-depth Phantom simulation ever attempted in MSFS. Stay tuned for further updates as Heatblur prepares to unleash the iconic “Lead Sled” in Asobo’s stunning world.

Heatblur Simulations already had a successful incursion in MSFS world with their F-14 Tomcat developed in partnership with IndiaFoxtEcho :
