Airport Overview

FSDG, renowned European Developer have just released an updated and much-awaited rendition
of Monastir Airport International Airport in Tunisia. This airport has been missing from our
simulators for a very long time and FSDG have made a complete remake of the scenery included
the updated 2025 layout of the airport. After releasing the product for MSFS, the P3Dv4/v5 version
is now available. The airport activity mainly serves tourists coming to visit Monastir, Sousse and
the surrounding resorts (Monastir-Skanes and Port El Kantaoui in particular). Almost all charter
flights are concentrated within the tourist season and regular services to Paris, Munich, Nice and
Frankfurt. The Monastir Airport is also used as a hub for low-cost carriers such as Transavia, Neos
and SmartWings with services to large European vacationers visiting Monastir on Holiday.

Airport Features

The FSDG product offers amazing features which take advantage of the latest P3D technologies
such as Dynamic Lighting, Reflective Textures and PBR Textures which are considered as the gold
standard in today’s payware quality product. FSDG have also included high-resolution ground
texture files which are native to P3D and Updated ground layout, authentic light environment,
optimized for great performance and visual results and compatibility with all known add-ons
including GSX.
An advantage to this product is also that it works seamlessly with any Autogen or Mesh product
for the area which is also available for P3D and gives the Airport a unique feeling of its actual
environment. FSDG have also modeled various sites around the airport including the Monastir
Landmarks. All that needs to be done is placing FSDG’s Monastir’s scenery above any third-party
mesh or Autogen addon in your scenery library config or via the XML method.

Modelling and Texturing

After carefully examining the terminal and its features, FSDG have used high quality textures and
have modelled all the major and minor airport buildings with interior terminal modelling and
window reflections.
Without a doubt, the modelling is of top quality, the details included near the main terminal and
remote stands such as the custom lighting system and 3D taxiway signs and surrounding airport
photoreal addition which shows that FSDG have put a lot of effort and work into the product and
its features.

FSDG have also included a variety of ground vehicles which flawlessly go along with any ground
addon such as GSX.
Another important item which FSDG have included the touristic hotels that are located near the
airport which give it a nice feeling to see that additional city landmarks are also modeled into this
product. The runway and taxiway details are also of fantastically high-definition quality.

Final Feedback

For anyone who is looking to fly into DTMB Monastir Airport in P3D. I would highly recommend
FSDG’s version as they have put extensive effort into their version whilst including all the major
and important P3D features such as PBR, custom runway lighting system and Dynamic Lighting at
the terminals. I look forward to the next release from the FSDG team! As their portfolio of products
for P3D is on the rise, I do hope that they will create airports that do not exist in the world of P3D
and thus serving the shortage in our current P3D market of International Airports that are not
faithfully created! For this release, this is a job well done to the FSDG team on a nice product!
