Drzewiecki Design has released version 2.0 of their Washington Landmarks for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new version offers a completely revamped representation of the US capital with over 1000 detailed landmarks and buildings.
Highlights include the newly modeled White House and Pentagon, along with improved textures and lighting effects for all buildings. The developers have also added new hospitals with helipads, including George Washington University Hospital (24DC) and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (DC09).
Military aviation hasn’t been neglected either: Joint Base Andrews (KADW) has been upgraded with new hangars, a VIP terminal, and static aircraft including Air Force One. New heliports at the Pentagon (KJPN) and Bolling Air Force Base (KBOF) expand the flight options.
As Drzewiecki Design announced on Facebook, the product is being offered at a 30% launch discount. The developers humorously commented with reference to current political figures: “If you think you’d outperform President Trump or President Zelensky in high-stakes talks – now’s your shot, no elections needed!”
The add-on is available for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 on SIMMARKET for €9.99 (VAT may apply). Requirements include World Update II: USA, World Update X: USA, and City Update IX: Northeastern United States.
The new version promises an even more immersive flying experience over the American capital, complete with explorable interiors in select buildings such as the White House and Washington Monument.
