FlightSim Studio (FSS) has shared its latest quarterly update for Q1 2025, providing insights into ongoing projects, upcoming releases, and future plans.
Boeing 727 Series
An update (version 1.0.8) for the Boeing 727 Freighter is nearing release. It introduces improvements to the autopilot, navigation systems, fuel management, engine performance, and taxi handling. A new feature allows users to display a SimBrief OFP directly in the cockpit, a community-driven addition.
Development of the 727 Passenger Variant is progressing. The 3D modeling is nearly complete, but work continues on cabin lighting, sound adjustments, and other details. Attendees of FSWeekend in Lelystad on March 15-16, 2025, will have the chance to test the aircraft.
E-Jets Series
FSS is making significant progress on the custom FMS for the E-Jets. Systems such as the MFD, PFD, and MCDU have been partially or fully implemented. Visitors to FSWeekend can preview an experimental build showcasing the latest LNAV and VNAV updates.
MSFS 2024 Compatibility and New Projects
Compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 remains limited due to technical issues, including a known pressurization bug in the 727. FSS is working on a native FS24 version of the Tecnam P2006T, which is expected to release in summer 2025. Native versions of the E-Jets and 727 are planned once the simulator stabilizes.
FSWeekend 2025
FSS is a Gold Sponsor of FSWeekend, Europe’s largest flight simulation expo. Attendees will have the opportunity to test the 727 Passenger Variant and an experimental build of the E-Jets. FSS will also host a presentation on its current and future projects.
