Developer SALVUZ has recently released Bergen Flesland Airport (ENBR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, recreating this vital Norwegian aviation hub. The real airport, operational since 1955, serves as a crucial gateway to the Vestland region and ranks as Norway’s second-busiest airport after Oslo.
Located approximately 20 kilometers south of Bergen’s city center on the Flesland peninsula, the airport offers pilots a unique operating environment. The region is known for its challenging weather conditions and impressive landscape featuring fjords, mountains, and a rugged coastline.
The real ENBR handles over 6 million passengers annually, connecting the region with domestic and international destinations. It plays a vital role in Norway’s oil and gas industry, serving as a base for helicopter flights to North Sea offshore platforms.
The digital implementation for MSFS 2024 features the current 2024 airport layout, including:
- Detailed new terminal (opened 2017)
- Historic old terminal building
- 2,990-meter runway
- Multiple heliports
- Authentic terrain modeling
