PMDG Delivers Valentine’s Day News Dump: 777-200ER in Beta, Ops Center 3.0 on the Horizon, and MSFS2024 Updates

PMDG emerged from relative silence yesterday, February 15, 2025, with a mixed bag of updates delivered in Robert Randazzo’s signature lengthy forum post. Here’s a quick breakdown:

The highlight is the entry of the 777-200ER into beta testing for MSFS 2020, with an MSFS 2024 release to follow. This version includes all three engine variants (GE, RR, and PW).

Also entering beta is PMDG Operations Center 3.0, a complete overhaul of their product management software, promising a modern interface, streamlined updates, and easier troubleshooting.

MSFS2024 development is ongoing. The 777 is making good progress, but the DC-6 is facing animation issues. PMDG is holding off on the 737 until the 777 is further along.

Pricing and upgrade paths for MSFS2024 are still unclear.

Finally, the 747-100 is progressing, with detailing of the flight deck panels underway. The 747-400 is still under wraps.
