New Scenery Release: University of Illinois Willard Airport KCMI for MSFS 2024/2020

UK2000 Scenery has released a new add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020: the University of Illinois Willard Airport (KCMI). This scenery replicates the real-life airport located in Champaign, Illinois, offering a detailed virtual experience for flight sim users.

The Airport

The University of Illinois Willard Airport has been operational since 1945 and serves as a key aviation hub in central Illinois. Named after Arthur Cutts Willard, a former president of the University of Illinois, the airport supports both commercial and general aviation. It provides non-stop flights to Chicago O’Hare and Dallas-Fort Worth via American Airlines and includes facilities for pilots and passengers, such as lounges, conference rooms, and crew cars.

The airport is also historically significant as the home of the University of Illinois’ Institute of Aviation, which conducted aviation research and training until 2014.
