Just Flight Updates Avro Vulcan B Mk. 2 to v1.2 – Now Compatible with MSFS 2024

Just Flight has released Update v1.2 for the Avro Vulcan B Mk. 2, K.2 & MRR, adding full Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 compatibility while still supporting MSFS 2020. The update enhances the aircraft’s EFB with new features and includes minor improvements. Owners of the MSFS 2020 version can redownload the updated package from their accounts. This highly detailed Vulcan simulation offers accurately modeled variants, including the standard B Mk2, the K.2 refueling version, and the MRR reconnaissance model, built using real-world references from XM655. It features extensive animations such as tilting landing gear, deployable airbrakes, a functional ram-air turbine, animated bomb bay doors, and payload options like nuclear bombs, Shrike missiles, and fuel tanks. The aircraft also supports VR mode, Navigraph & SimBrief integration, and MSFS visual icing effects.

The cockpit and systems are deeply modeled, featuring a 3D virtual cockpit with working crew panels, a custom electrical system, an autopilot, and fully simulated fuel, hydraulic, and oxygen systems. Engine starts are realistically simulated, including options for external ground power units. The aircraft includes a Terrain Following Radar, a detailed lighting system, and an advanced WWise-based sound package capturing the Olympus 201 & 301 engines’ signature howl. The flight dynamics are based on real-world data, with separate profiles for different engine types. A comprehensive manual and paint kit are included, and the aircraft supports MSFS checklists and custom control assignments. The update ensures the legendary Cold War-era bomber remains a top-tier experience in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
