Just Flight has provided a detailed development update on the A300B4 Professional for MSFS, focusing on the upper flight engineer’s station, the most complex part of the aircraft’s flight deck. The left-hand column of the panel is primarily dedicated to hydraulic and fuel management, featuring distinctive blue, green, and yellow switch guards for the three independent hydraulic circuits, a design still found in modern Airbus aircraft. The fuel panel includes white knobs for tank shut-off valves, with yellow-tipped switches added for the center fuel tank. Adjacent panels manage systems such as landing gear, brakes, fire detection, and the APU, which boasts a compact but intricate setup for fault monitoring, fuel pump control, and fire safety.
The update also highlights the meticulous recreation of Magnetic Annunciators, dual pressurization systems, and separate temperature controls for the six passenger and cargo compartments. Unique features like the red metal guard covering the fuel jettison switches emphasize safety and attention to detail. Just Flight used high-resolution photographs of an A300 at the Aeroscopia Museum in Toulouse to ensure unmatched accuracy in fonts, scales, and gauge details. A future update promises a comprehensive look at the entire cockpit, rounding out the development progress.
