SimBrief Dispatch is now integrated into Microsoft Flight Simulator, allowing users to plan flights directly within the simulator environment. With this new and free feature, users can access SimBrief’s route planning, performance calculation, and flight plan export from the MSFS world map and an in-game panel on the toolbar, removing the need to switch to a separate browser. This streamlined experience provides convenience for virtual pilots and enhances immersion by enabling flight planning and adjustments without leaving MSFS.
The integration is available to anyone with a free Navigraph account, while Navigraph subscribers can install it via the Navigraph Hub or download it directly from the SimBrief dashboard. For the best experience, a Navigraph subscription provides access to up-to-date Jeppesen navigation data and comprehensive VFR and IFR charts, ensuring accurate and reliable information for each flight. Users can generate flight plans, enter key flight details, and transfer routes to the MSFS world map with a simple click, facilitating a seamless workflow.
During flights, SimBrief Dispatch remains accessible, allowing pilots to review their flight plan, check performance data, or plan additional legs without disrupting their session. This integration lays the groundwork for future developments, with plans to expand SimBrief Dispatch to MSFS 2024 as part of the global Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). The flight sim community has warmly welcomed this addition, recognizing its potential to improve workflow and realism in virtual aviation.
