WF Scenery Studio has released a new promo trailer for Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (ZSSS) for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS). Hongqiao is one of Shanghai’s two international airports and primarily handles domestic and regional flights, while serving some international destinations like Seoul-Gimpo, Taipei-Songshan, and Tokyo-Haneda. Located 13 km west of downtown Shanghai, the airport is a major hub for China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Juneyao Air, and Spring Airlines. It handled over 40 million passengers in 2016, making it one of China’s busiest airports. In 2019, Hongqiao Airport received the prestigious Skytrax 5-Star Airport Rating.
The MSFS scenery by WF Scenery Studio includes features like PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures, animated jetways, dynamic lights, real ground markings, and an animated airport train. Custom vehicle placement has been manually planned, adding to the realism of the airport environment. This add-on brings Hongqiao Airport to life in the simulator, capturing its bustling atmosphere and detailed facilities.
