SimWorks Studios, developers for Microsoft Flight Simulator, shared a brief weekend update. They processed tester applications and have contacted or will contact selected testers soon. In it they highlighted the crucial role of the new testing team.
For the Airvan, sound work is pending due to non-FS issues, but code cleanup and product improvements continue. Visual wear and failure systems, like propeller damage and tire blowouts, are being tested. They are also developing a progressive wear and tear system for the Airvan, PC-12, and Kodiak, integrated with their tablet, which is progressing well.
Lastly, they shared new seat renderings for the B-52 model, aiming to reduce texture size while maintaining detail. The current seat uses 2k textures, but they plan to go lower without losing quality.
