Indiafoxtecho, in collaboration with Heatblur Simulations, is developing a high-quality F-16 Falcon for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024. This project follows their successful F-14 Tomcat release for MSFS. They have shared work-in-progress renderings of the F-16A Block 15, highlighting the superb 3D model created using advanced laser and photogrammetry scanning data.
The decision to create the F-16A Block 15 instead of the more modern F-16C was driven by two main factors. Firstly, a high-quality F-16A has not been available in flight simulators for decades. Secondly, the simpler avionics of the F-16A are more compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator, facilitating a faster and more agile development process.
While there is no set release date yet, Indiafoxtecho is committed to keeping the community updated with development progress. Depending on available resources, there might be a future expansion to include the F-16C variant. For now, they are focused on delivering an exceptional F-16A experience to flight simulation enthusiasts.
Many thanks for developing the F-16A Block 15. It’s been a long time coming that the flight sim community gets a legacy F-16.
