Microsoft Flight Simulator has just released World Update XVI: Caribbean, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the Caribbean region in stunning detail. Encompassing a range of islands including Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, and more, this update introduces 104 points of interest (POIs) such as Nassau Harbor Lighthouse and the Red House in Trinidad & Tobago. Gaya Simulations, a trusted partner, has hand-crafted seven airports, enhancing the immersive experience for aviators exploring destinations like Gregorio Luperón International Airport in the Dominican Republic and Sangster International Airport in Jamaica.
The update also includes nine activities, including Discovery Flights over Saint Lucia, Saint Martin, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as Landing Challenges at notable airports like Gregorio Luperón International Airport and Haiti’s Antoine-Simon Airport. The collaboration between Microsoft Flight Simulator and Bing Maps, Maxar, and Caribbean governmental organizations has resulted in a comprehensive dataset, integrating aerial photographs, satellite data, LIDAR, DEM, and DTM data. World Update XVI: Caribbean is available for free to all Microsoft Flight Simulator owners, inviting them to update their simulator to version 1.35.21.0 and embark on a virtual journey to explore the enchanting landscapes of the Caribbean from the skies.
