IndiaFoxtEcho, the popular developer of military add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, recently provided a quick progress update on their upcoming releases. Here are the key points mentioned in the update:
F-35 UPDATE: The release of a new update for the F-35 was initially planned for the past weekend but has been postponed for a few days. What was intended to be a small update to address graphical glitches turned out to be a much larger update with new features, graphical improvements, and eye-catching details. Some of the notable additions include a completely revamped pilot figure that can be displayed “headless” in the cockpit, squadron-specific engine covers, pilot patches, and nine new liveries. However, the liveries AF-01, BF-02, and BF-03 will not feature the LM (Lockheed Martin) logos. The update is nearing completion, but additional testing is required due to the significant changes made.
TORNADO: IndiaFoxtEchohas begun working on the much-anticipated Tornado aircraft. While they shared a screenshot of the requested 311mo Gruppo special color scheme, the development process for the Tornado is expected to take some time. The team is focused on ensuring a high level of detail in the cockpit and programming the systems. As with their other projects, IndiaFoxtEcho follows the principle of releasing the product when it meets their quality standards, regardless of the time it takes.
OTHER DEVELOPMENTS: IndiaFoxtEcho provided updates on several other projects they are working on:
- TOMCAT: The team is still working on enhancing the interactivity and code for the RIO (Radar Intercept Officer) station in the F-14 Tomcat.
- TA-4J SKYHAWK, F-16, AND TYPHOON: Progress is being made on these aircraft as well. However, the current focus is on the Tomcat and Tornado releases, prioritizing their completion before moving forward with the others.
IndiaFoxtEcho remains dedicated to delivering high-quality add-ons for the Microsoft Flight Simulator community. While some updates may experience delays as the development process unfolds, the team strives to ensure that the final products meet the expectations of flight sim enthusiasts.
