Peter Rosendahl has announced the release of his FSXstarter freeware application.
At its heart lies a switcher application that allows the user to define different starting profiles for the simulator, so you can refine your settings depending on the type of flying you intend to do – more or less autogen, higher or lower mesh settings, etc.
In addition to this, however, the package contains tools for managing and organising your fsx.cfg file and – of particular use to those of us with far too many aircraft and repaints in our selection lists, a livery manager.
More details and the download link can be found at the developer’s site. Don’t worry about the German language in the screenshot above – English and French are also supported.
