One of the customer reviews of Carenado’s C337HD Series for X-Plane, over at simMarket, states “This has to be one of the best aircraft for X-Plane.”
While any review is always a personal opinion, the developers’ aircraft across all platforms are undoubtedly very popular – and that review was posted before this latest updated to v2 of the aircraft.
The new update includes version 2.0.1 of the SASL plugin system and brings compatibility with X-Plane V10 and 64-bit. As the developers state in the release accompanying the update, this is the 12th aircraft which they have updated free of charge to existing users – simply download the latest installer from your order history. Carenado is pleased to announce the new package of the C337 Skymaster to version 2.0, including an update to the SASL plugin system to v2.0.1.
This is the 12th plane to be updated for free to full v10-64bit compatibility.
C337 Skymaster for X-Plane v2.0 is supported on all 9 major X-Plane platforms, including v9.7, v10-32bit and v10-64-bit on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
This new package runs in either on X-Plane 9 or X-Plane 10, so customers who bought them for X-Plane 9 could run them in X-Plane 10 without any problem, but they will have to download again the package from where they bought it.

While it is indeed the best aircraft for X-Plane MADE BY CARENADO (of course not the best overall – there are a few much better models), it must also be said that the span between the quality level of these 12 updated Carenado models is pretty noteworthy. It goes from rubbish (Mooney M201) to high level (C337) with lots of average in between despite their update to V2 – 64bit compatibility.
