Bear Studio‘s Cam Ranh International Airport in Vietnam (VVCR/CXR) has been recreated for Microsoft Flight Simulator 9/2004 by Bear Studios, with a custom ground polygon based on satellite imagery overlaid with custom ground markings and taxi lights, topped off with the inclusion of all major buildings and animated ground service vehicles. The airport is also supported by Aerosoft’s AES.
Historically, the airport was originally constructed by the US forces during the Vietnam war, then following its capture from South Vietnamese forces in 1975, became a base for Soviet and later Russian aircraft. It received its first passenger flight from Hanoi in 2003, being upgraded to an international airport in 2009.
