We’re used, by now, to seeing pretty little rural airfields recreated for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, but the majority of them tend to be in the United States or Canada – perhaps as much due to the sim’s user demographics as anything else.
Well here’s a nice change fom that trend, in the form of Saeby Airfield in northern Jutland, Denmark, from developers Vidan Design. Set against a 19cm/pixel photoreal ground texture, the scenery is made up of numerous unique, custom, buildings and animations around its 650m grass runway and 1000m glider area. As well as being an ideal little home field for your local flights, the proximity to numerous European countries makes for an excellent touring base as well.
