Newly released by Gary Summons of UK2000 scenery, East Midlands airport lies pretty much geographically in the centre of England, on the site of the old RAF Castle Donington and with approaches or departures over the top of Donington race track, which is as famous for its annual rock festival as it is for drivers’ and riders’ on-track exploits.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the race track is included in the photoreal backdrop for this scenery, from the screenshots, but what you do get is an accurate representation of the UK’s biggest freight and courier hub, with the cargo jets operating alongside a number of charter and low-cost carrier airliners.
