I’m a Canadian simmer living in British Columbia and I would like to say thank you for this post on your site (which I look in on regularly) it was a nice surprise. You all should come and visit !!
Thanks for the compliments! Here in Canada it seems to be getting a bad rap from local broadcasters but I think it went well and I’m proud of the organizers, many of whom were volunteers. Despite the weather it was a very competitive Olympics and the best athletes were only the best by a narrow margin which made it even more nailbiting for all nations.
My wife and I had a great time watching on TV. This was the most entertaining winter Olympics I recall. Canada did a great job as host country, IMO. And you can’t get better scenery than Vancouver & Whistler as the backdrop!
