Greetings, I have been trying to contact Trevor Morson for some time now. I anyone has an e-mail address for him please be so kind as to send on the message below.
Dear Trevor
Greetings from Johannesburg, South Africa.
I am slowly managing to get the Dakota Association of South Africa back on its feet.
To this end I started a website http://www.dc-3.co.za dedicated to the DC-3 / C-47 aircraft that have operated in South Africa, either on the civil or air force register and I am gathering data of all South African DC-3s for the website. There is also a section for DC-3 in Africa.
I am looking for photographs, new and old, information and stories of the DC-3s that have plied their trade in South Africa and Africa.
With reference to http://www.douglasdc3.com/safrica/safrica.htm I would love to use some of the South African dak pictures on our website. Is this possible, can you advise who the various copyright holders are or are the images yours.
Any help/advice will be appreciated.
The DC-3 celebrates her 75th anniversary on 17 December 2010 and I would very much like to have the South African DC-3 website nicely stocked with info and pics etc for this momentous occasion.
As a matter of interest I am also the PRO for the South African Airways Museum Society http://www.saamuseum.co.za we own and operate DC-3 ZS-BXF.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Jaws
