This week the Museum continues its celebration of the 30th anniversary of the flight of the Gossamer Albatross with a films and tip-to-tail tours. Don’t forget…the Museum is closing at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 13 in order to prepare for our annual Wings of Heroes Gala for Education. The Museum will return to regular operating hours Sunday, June 14 at 10 a.m.
The weekend of June 19 – 21 is chock full of activities fun for the whole family! On Friday, June 19 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Museum hosts the annual King County Fire and Life Safety Association Fire Department day. Kids of all ages can view fire equipment and meet the men and women who serve them. Also on the 19th, the Collings Foundation’s Wings of Heroes Bomber and Fighter tour flies into the Museum. The tour provides Museum visitors the chance to experience the sights and sounds of the American heavy bombers that helped win WWII.
Saturday, June 20 is the annual American Heroes Air Show, a day full of heroes and helicopters. The American Heroes Air Show features static displays, special presentations and entertainment. The show is from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the parking lot, but come early to watch the helicopters fly in!
Celebrate Fathers Day at the Museum! Sunday, June 21, the Museum and Bartell Drugs have planned a day full of fun activities. The Family LEGO Experience, a Boeing Model 40B tip-to-tail tour and the incredible, edible, candy-dandy, wonderful wible plane and high flying Father’s Day fun fest are just a few of the programs planned.
