SimScape is a new development team focused on developing easy-to-use software products to improve your flight simulation experience.
SimScape has developed a strong expertise in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and FSX. Some products are available: an F-16 Block50 panel that includes a brand new Head-Up Display (HUD) and a Dassault Mirage 4000 that also has a panel with a Mirage HUD. The Head-Up Display is developed with a new technology that allows smooth and accurate graphics without impacting the frame rate. Both packages are self-sufficient products (aircraft + panel) with an automatic installer and work with FS2004 and FSX.

Both the F-16 and the Mirage 4000 panels make use of the latest version of Eric Marciano’s radar gauge that works in single (displays AI aircraft) and multi-player (displays other player’s aircraft) modes. The new SimScape HUD is linked to the radar. A target location box is displayed on the HUD to help with steering towards the designated target on the radar. This is very helpful when the target is beyond visual range and distance to the target is displayed below the box. A navigation mode when following a flight plan with GPS) uses a similar display to assist with steering to the next waypoint. When in landing mode (gear down) the HUD changes to display landing aids so you can put her down on the numbers. The Mirage also includes an audio radio-altimeter that generates tones to let you know how close to the ground or runway you are. And the list goes on…
