PMDG have finally released their MD-11 airliner. It comes as FSX-only for Euro 59,99 (some $80) and as Combo for both FSX/FS2004 for nearly 90 Euros ($120). On their web site you can read “…… PMDG continues our lineage of fine airliner simulations with another popular heavy airliner, the PMDG MD-11! Born out of airline requirements for a “modern new DC-10″ the MD-11 is a superb example of aircraft engineering from the era when modern computer processing power was beginning to bring truly new ideas, safety and capability to the cockpit of transport airplanes…….”.

In case you were unable to guess which “plane” the Belgian publisher Wilco is working on, it’s the Bell-Agusta BA-609 Tiltrotor. The BA609 is a tiltrotor, meaning it can take off and land like a helicopter and cruise with the speed of a regular airplane, kinda like the harrier, but with propeller engines instead of a jet engine. Further details on this product are currently unknown, but we will keep you updated. Also if you did enter their contest, and you think you’ve got the right answer, they will announce the winners and more product details later this month on their site.

Flylogic in Switzerland has now released it’s FSX version of the Northrop F-5E Tiger, under the title ‘Fly The Tiger X’. Also included is an FSX mission ‘Emmen - Axalp’. The aircraft is for FS2004 and FSX and features a lot of liveries. Also included is an animated brake chute, improved animations of aircraft and pilot and new textures. Costs some 50 Swiss Francs and comes on a CD.

Recently Mathijs Kok of Aerosoft has posted a document on the Aerosoft forums, this document contains a full list of all the different models and liveries that will be included in their F-16 Fighting Falcon product.  As you can see there are well over 50 different liveries, and each livery comes with a model that’s as close as it can get to the actual model.
