Nice FSX Tiger Moth Released

Anthony Lynch released his freeware FSX SP2 model of the popular De Havilland Tiger Moth trainer aircraft. This is a modern representation of the Australian built models as you may find flying today therefore it includes a few extra features not found on the original.  There is a paintkit available as well for this, custom sounds by Don Putnam, numerous animations, prop pull start, slide slips, spins and windmill starts and to top it off, smooth 3d gauges. Simon Smeiman, author of FSAddon’s Piper and SuperCubs has released a nice little aerobatics aircraft, the Ultimate 10-300 ‘Bipe’, for FSX SP2. Simon says “….. This freeware model of the Ultimate is my gift to my fellow Simmers especially those who bought my commercial models. The model is also dedicated to Gordon Price, the creator of the real world Ultimate.

Joop Mak of the NL2000 freeware scenery design group of The Netherlands, reports that they have released their Christmas Present now, in the form of Version 3.0 of the on-going effort to model the entire country in high detail, for FS2004. The missions are all inspired by a recently started 35-episodes Radio/TV series of VPRO, a Dutch Radio/TV station, to celebrate Charles Darwin’s 200th birth year and the 150th anniversary of his publication of “On the Origin of Species”. They follow Charles Darwin’s journey on the “Beagle” (1831-1836). It means that now just about each and every heliport in Germany is covered. The package is freeware, but you will need to have some patience downloading it. It now is 600 Mb in total !
