A quick morning video for your viewing pleasure: Buzz313th (don’t ask me, that is a user name…) has made a video showing the Sitka area in the newly released Tongass X scenery by FSAddon: “Just picked up Tongass Fjords X from FSAddons this morning and took the DodoSim 206B up for a quick flight to check out the new scenery. Decided to record the flight and throw a quick video together to showcase this excellent scenery addon.” If you know any, please add more TFX video or screenshot links in the comments. |

Here’s an interesting video from the endless YouTube resource…. A Saab Viggen with a pilot who forgot his sandwiches at home…. These aircraft are designed to work from small airfields and roads even and can do amazing things. Not only make U-turns all by themselves, but also very short take-offs…. enjoy ! |

1. What is the ICAO ID of Lanzarote airport? 2. Is Lanzarote a Spanish island? 3. How many runways does Lanzarote airport have? Easy, uh? If you still don’t know the answer you will find them on the product page at simMarket. |

Jorge at Airsim.net, aka simFlight Portugal, reports about an interesting development named outerra, a planetary engine. Sounds like a lot doesn’t it? apparently the developer Brano Kemen is creating an engine that can generate our planet so to speak, Can it be used in a future flight simulator? Very interesting project here…. not new, but new to us: based on Google Earth and it’s API’s and following an earlier javascript based development here comes ‘Ships’ an online Ships Simulator from PlanetInAction.com where you can be the helmsman of a bunch of vessels, from barges to cruise ships… and to stay more inline with our main interest here, you can steer an Airship through the virtual skies of Google Earth, and you know that means EVERYWHERE. This video shows it all, play the game here and you will find more reading details after the jump (oh.. and MS: Digg it! <g>) And of course you should not forget to take a look at simMarket’s Shipping Yard for further ocean dreams.

Roger Dodger Aviation have posted a very interesting video on the SimTeeVee website. If you are looking for ways to “Pimp your Sim” then visit the site, watch the video and see how they turn a Chinese motorcycle helmet into a VR helmet for flight simming – and while you are watching, check out that motion simulator in the guy’s driveway… You can see a lot more interesting goodies on http://www.DIYflightsims.com |
