Bear Studios have released the latest incarnation of their Eastern fighter fleet through simMarket in the form of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 jet fighter for Microsoft FS2004, FSX and Lockheed-Martin Prepar3D.
This cold war warrior was, although technically inferior to Western aircraft in the period, something of a wake-up call when encountered over the skies of Vietnam, it being US losses of Mach2+ aircraft to the firmly subsonic MiG-17 that led to the introduction of “Aggressor” squadrons flying the A-4 Skyhawk to simulate the turning ability of the MiG17.
Bear’s package includes individual models for FS9 and FSX/P3D, in a total of ten variants, with high detail textures, ordinance/weapons simulation and both cockpit seats available to fly from appropriate models. For full details, see here.
