One of the best maritime simulations to date is Ship Simulator 2008 from VSTEP in The Netherlands. Thet release a free new vessel, the Jumbo Javelin. According top their press release “…… Ship Simulator 2008 developer VSTEP announces that its latest exciting new vessel, the JUMBO JAVELIN will be available for free download at “The Shipyard”, the online vessel & environment shop for Ship Simulator 2008…..”.
“…… All Ship Simulator 2008 and Ship Simulator 2008: New Horizons users will be able to download this new vessel for free and play exciting new missions in the game. The JUMBO JAVELIN is sponsored by Jumbo Shipping and comes with ten new missions especially created for this vessel to add to the excitement and variety of Ship Simulator 2008.

The JUMBO JAVELIN is the largest of Jumbo Shipping’s fleet of heavy lift transportation  & installation vessels. It has the capacity to transport very large and heavy cargo’s up to 1800 tons, and install at water depths up to 2500 meters. The vessel has a deadweight of 13278 tons, two 900 ton cranes, 3100 m² of deck space for cargo and can travel at speeds of up to 18 knots.
