FlightSimTools.com is “…..proud to release Addon Converter X, a module for FSX that makes many aircraft and scenery add-ons compatible with FSX SP2 and Acceleration Pack. Aircraft and sceneries developed for earlier Flight Simulator versions often appear with missing textures, missing objects and other problems when used with the newest FSX updates. This is especially true in the DirectX 10 preview mode….”.
“……Addon Converter X resolves many such display problems in FSX SP2 and Acceleration Pack. You can now use thousands of existing add-ons with the latest flight simulator technology!

I wonder if this program fixes the flickering runway issue in DX10 preview mode…

the demo version of this software does not correct the prop texture problem with some aircraft in Acceleration SP2. Don’t know if it is supposed to or not but it doesn’t.

The discription of the product leads you to believe that it will fix the prop texture problem but it didn’t for me.

Nope..didn’t work for me either. Installed ok, picked up imagetool ok etc, but none of my imported aircraft (I tested two) were fixed in any way. Specifically there were cockpit texture issues.
I had selected them for pre processing, but it hasn’t done anything.
Could be the limit of 1 minute use ? My FSX takes just over that to load up, so perhaps the demo is timing out before I can check any results. Maybes a 10 minute time limit ?
Shalln’t be buying it on the strength of those results

Just realised it IS a 10 minute trial
So..I guess it’s not timing out. It has still not worked for me, so it’s now been un installed.

When they refer to “prop texture issues” are they referring to them becoming flat reflective disks, which it might solve, rather than solving the problem with them vanishing behind objects and clouds, which is a model issue?

I’m a designer of addon – sceneries for fs2004 and I have not observed any corrected display of the transparent textures in FSX SP after the installing of the Addon Converter X.

I have fsx, with a lot of add ons and a lot of problems with some of them,I think before the programers put these products out they should check them first , because buy so many people having the same problems they need to to do a better job, especially when you have to pay for them and cant return them. But I have maybe a cure for one of the problems many people having it concerns [FLIGHT SIM ACCELERATION] Number one after you uninstall it, grasp it by the thumb and index finger and toss it as far as you can in the middle of the street count the amount of vechicles that run over it [10] to be exact then go and get it box it back up and send it back to microsoft, if they ask why it is all scratched up tell them your computer rejected it. seriously I think it will stop a lot of freezing and jittery movements .

One problem the picture illustrated above is from objectmaker and not addon converter X.
